Hiking and Biking:
Every Trail Leads to a New Adventure!
Embark on an adventure along the Blue River Trail, beginning at Whitley Street near the Fire Museum and winding its way past the YMCA into the scenic beauty of Morsches Park. This picturesque trail stretches approximately 4.6 miles, offering a peaceful loop around the park’s pond before leading you back to your starting point. Expanded in the spring of 2013, the trail now extends an additional 0.8 miles from Morsches Park to DeMoney & Grimes Funeral Home, featuring a beautiful new bridge over the Blue River, with steel generously donated by Steel Dynamics Industry.
For those seeking a thrilling off-road experience, the Mountain Bike Trail offers over 7 miles of minimally groomed, winding single-track perfect for cyclists, runners, and hikers alike. Starting and ending at the maintenance barn parking lot near the park entrance, this trail provides the perfect challenge for outdoor enthusiasts looking to train or simply enjoy the rugged landscape
Blue River Trail
The scenic Blue River Trail stretches from Vine Street to Whitley Street, starting next to the Fire Museum and continuing past the YMCA into the heart of Morsches Park. The total trail length is approximately 4.6 miles, offering a peaceful route around the park's pond and back to Whitley Street. Expanded in 2013, the trail now extends an additional 0.8 miles from Morsches Park to DeMoney and Grimes Funeral Home, thanks to a new bridge over the Blue River with steel generously donated by Steel Dynamics Industry. Future plans include an exciting extension to the new high school, making this trail a continually evolving asset for our community.
Mountain Bike Trails
Our Mountain Bike Trail offers over 7 miles of thrilling, minimally groomed single-track designed for off-road cyclists, runners, and hikers. Starting at the tennis courts parking lot near the park entrance, the trail winds through tight, scenic paths perfect for both training and recreational use. The south side features approximately 3.5 miles of trail, including technical sections for more advanced cyclists. On the north side of the park, after passing under US 30, you'll find another 3.5 miles of challenging terrain, ideal for those seeking a more aerobic workout and a heightened outdoor experience.

Splash Pad

Designed for children of all ages, the splash pad provides a safe and playful environment where kids can cool off and enjoy interactive water features.
